Garth Ennis adaptations are hot properties right now, from AMC's Preacher to Marvel's Punisher, who was heavily inspired by Ennis' MAX series. Next up will be The Boys, which once again comes from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

The duo were an unlikely choice to bring Preacher to life, and yet they've done a great job in adapting the comics for the screen (especially in its second season), so now seem like naturals for this one.

It's another interesting take on the superhero genre: set in a world where superheroes do exist, they've mostly been corrupted by their celebrity status. Because of that a new group of CIA operatives is formed, called The Boys, who are tasked with monitoring the superpowered community.

It's perhaps even more violent and crazy than Preacher, and with Cinemax behind it there should be plenty of free reign to unleash all of that chaos on screen.
