13 Worst TV Shows Of 2017

11. Taken

Because adapting played-out movie franchises into generic, easily-digestible serials is so fashionable right now, it's actually pretty surprising it took over two years for this TV series to debut following the release of Taken 3.

Clive Standen is unfortunately no match for Liam Neeson's grit or charisma, and even his greater nimbleness is wasted on perfunctory, cookie-cutter action sequences with little in the way of gritty stakes or visual flair.

Curiously, the show's second season, which is due to premiere in January, has ditched most of the first season's supporting cast along with showrunner Alexander Cary. Could this make Taken yet another show that flourishes after a shaky first season? Unlikely, especially with Standen surviving the casting cull, but you never know.
