Back in 2011 when speaking to GQ, the actress famously said, "Quirky is what a guy would call a girl he doesn't understand", but even accepting that, it's tough to really explain Dennings' decision earlier this year to dye her hair with coffee as anything other than weird, bizarre and, yes, quirky. Well, she attempted to do just this, anyway, but as her Instagram post made clear, it didn't quite go according to plan. Her post said, "Tried dyeing my hair with coffee today. I used conditioner and 6 packs of instant Starbucks. The results are barely noticeable but now I smell like ITALIAN ROASTTTTTT", complete with an accompanying image of the coffee mix, but sadly not of the peculiar final result. Dennings apparently found the recipe on Pinterest of all places, so it's not too surprising that it didn't work. Even so, why would a wealthy actress need to resort to such cheap methods, all the more so when her show's stylists would surely give her a hand? On the plus side, she claims that the concoction went "right through pores", giving her an obscene caffeine rush.
