15 WORST Performances In Game Of Thrones

The night is dark and full of bad acting.

Throughout its mostly stellar run, Game of Thrones was well-known for the brilliance of its acting and this is hardly surprising.

Its cast was indeed one of the most brilliant ensemble casts on television. Actors like Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Nikolai Coster-Waldau, Charles Dance, Maisie Williams, Sean Bean, Conleth Hill, Pedro Pascal and many, many others helped make this one of the best-acted shows you'll ever see and in general, this program cast its actors with utmost s.

As such, it is hard to find too many bad performances throughout the show's eight seasons. Still, they do exist and since they were surrounded by such astonishing actors left, right and centre, they were incredibly distracting at the best of times.

No, this is not referring to the unfairly criticised Emilia Clarke or Kit Harrington; they both did solid work so don't expect to see either of them here.

There are a few other performers who were miles worse than either of them. More than anything else, these performances prove that even a show as well-cast and well-acted as Game of Thrones has its missteps...

15. Alexander Siddig - Doran Martell

Without question one of the show's worst characters, Doran Martell did nothing but sit in his chair and stare into space whenever he appeared. As hateful as Ellaria Sand (more on her soon) was, it was easy to understand her frustration with this inactive, useless ruler.

Doran was a poorly-written character and Alexander Siddig wasn't quite able to lift him out of the gutter despite his evident talents. It was essentially a one-note, one-tone-of-voice performance during which he seemed to be on the verge of nodding off most of the time.

In all honesty this was more the fault of the writing rather than Siddig, but nevertheless, it's one of Game of Thrones' worst performances.
