20 Greatest Ever Superhero TV Shows

9. Spider-Man

One of the biggest things that makes people like Spider-Man is his sense of humor. There are other superheroes who make wise cracks here and there, but Peter Parker is just on an entirely different level. He's basically just one giant ball of snark. We see that side of his character more in the newer movies with Andrew Garfield than the ones with Tobey Maguire (no matter how hard we try, we can never forget the line, "It's you who's out, Gobby -- out of your mind!"). But one of the best parts of Spider-Man cartoon from the early 1990s was how well they portray his character. Not just the guy in spandex, but the very unique personality behind the mask. Unlike many other superheroes, Peter Parker has never been what you might call stoic. He's a complete and utter smart ass, and he can't resist the urge to spout one-liners whenever half a chance presents itself. The cartoon creates a version of his character that's rarely seen outside of the comic books, and for that reason Spider-Man deserves a spot on the list.
