Despite sci-fi, fantasy, and superheroes beginning to mesh with modern technology more than ever, we still struggle to imagine our favourite fictional characters with the gadgets that we take for granted. Its just hard to picture Spider-Man having a crappy day because his phone runs out of credit. Or Han Solo accidentally pressing Send To All on a message meant for Princess Leia. In this modern age, communication is everything. But it's when communication and technology combine that things get tricky. And when you add time travel and aliens into the mix, well then youve just got a series of technology-related disasters waiting to happen. Which brings us to Doctor Who. Since its revival in 2005, mobile phones have been an ever present part of the Doctors arsenal. Whether its one of his own or one that he pilfers from a friend. Its not yet gotten to a point where he uses WhatsApp or Instagram to save the day but Facebook was a vital tool in defeating the Great Intelligence so were not far off. And since not even a Time Lord is immune to the pain in the backside of a dodgy mobile phone, weve come up with some ideas of what the Doctor and cos missed text messages might be like...
