30 TV Shows That Will Kick-Ass In 2018

1. Better Call Saul

Few TV shows cast a shadow as long as Breaking Bad, a seminal piece of television that stands among the all-time greats. Moving out of it is no easy task but, against a number of odds, Better Call Saul has done it.

That's not to say the Breaking Bad prequel is better, but over three seasons it's carved out its own identity that's connected to but not reliant upon the parent series. Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have once again created a beautifully shot, brilliantly acted series, but this one is driven by character more than the propulsive plotting of Breaking Bad.

Season 3 was a new high point, and Season 4 promises even better things. Better here, however, probably means tragedy for Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy McGill, who will have to deal with a HUGE change in his life when the show returns - one that will presumably push him even closer to truly becoming Saul Goodman.
