5 Characters Who Should Come Back For 24: Live Another Day

5. Aaron Pierce

Aaron may not be necessarily the most important character on 24, but he is definitely an audience favorite, especially considering how long he lasted. Not only did Aaron survive his tenure on 24 (unlike most characters) but he was the only other character besides Jack Bauer who appeared in the first seven seasons of the show. For some reason the writers chose not to include him in season 8, which I was disappointed by. Even if had only been for one or two episode, they could have found some way to fit Aaron in. Plot relevancy, who cares? This is a guy who€™s been in more seasons than most of the main characters. You make room for him! First appearing in season 1 as a bodyguard to then-Senator David Palmer, Aaron€™s roles throughout the seasons have varied. In early seasons, he was mostly seen in the background guarding President Palmer, although there was a moment in season 2 when he went against orders and delivered a phone to the incarcerated Mr. Palmer (he had been stripped of his presidential authority at this point), which showed how truly loyal he was to his Commander-in-Chief. It wasn€™t until season 5 that Aaron truly got to shine. Now head of President Charles Logan€™s Secret Service detail, Aaron helped with several key events throughout the day, from helping Jack expose Walt Cummings as the man who sold the Sentox nerve gas to the Russian terrorists to saving the lives of First Lady Martha Logan as well as Russian President Yuri Suvarov and his wife when their motorcade was attacked. Later in the day, he was held captive by Charles Logan after learning from Jack that Logan was the true conspirator behind the Sentox conspiracy. After being rescued by the First Lady, he helped her and Jack take down the President. Aaron had a small role in season 6 and arguably his second-most important role as impromptu bodyguard to First Daughter Olivia Taylor in season 7, but there was no mention of him in season 8. We need to see what he€™s been doing since his last appearance. He had retired from the Secret Service before season 7, and considering his age he€™s probably not in private security or anything along those lines. Still, I€™d like to see him appear for a little bit in the miniseries as an ally to Jack. The two of them only met a couple times throughout the show, but since the mini-series is taking place in London, maybe Jack can use Aaron as a contact in Washington in case he needs any help stateside.
