5 Reasons Why You Should Be Watching Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 5

4. Exploration Of The Expanded Universe

Star Wars vast expansive universe is to be cherished, as it gives writers a chance to tell stories outside the films. There are some particular highlights that stand out in books, comics and games like Star Wars Legacy, Knights of the Old Republic, Republic Commando and the Darth Bane trilogy. Each one of those pieces of fiction retains it's Star Wars nostalgia, but offering a completely different view in terms of theme and character. So it begs the question, is it necessary to include the EU? With both trailers for season five, there's evidence that it's EU is being implement in a big way. The return of the Republic commando, an addition fans have been yearning for long time, Mandalorians once again returning to their well known conflicting lifestyle and the underworld of Coruscant, which has been already revealed by Lucas Arts in the dark, criminal world of Star Wars 1313, where the story of the game will take place, coincidence? Each one of these vast corners of the SWEU gives the audiences different genres to watch. For example, the clone troopers are genetically created and accelerated into servitude, human beings that are essentially born into slavery, to fight for a democracy which coincidently contradicts that notion. This is but one of many great stories that the EU can offer Star Wars the Clone Wars. So do I believe EU is necessary, yes I very much do. With the proof I've stated, it proves the show doesn't always have to be centered around the main cast of the films to be interesting and fun, showing there's boundless stories to be told in the infinite space of Star Wars.
