5 TV Shows That Demand You To Re-Watch

5. Firefly

FireflyWhy You Should Watch it: Firefly is a space western drama created and helmed, passionately as ever, by Joss Whedon. The premise alone should be enough to get you interested, especially if you're a sci-fi or Joss Whedon fan. Or both. Trust me, those two are definitely not mutually exclusive. It is a truly original show, chocked full of all the things you expect from Whedon. Drama, excitement and wit aplenty. Why Should You Watch it Again: For starters, it's so heartbreakingly short. The show was axed before it could even finish it's first season, and as a result, there are only 14 episodes. Just as you feel you are getting to know and love the show, it is abruptly and cruelly taken from you. And so, rewatching it is pretty much a must. Secondly, by the end of the show, you will come to see just how terrifically crafted the cast of characters are. Naturally, the more of the show you watch, the more these characters grow on you, and if you go back and watch the show for the second time, you will find yourself laughing at things you didn't laugh at the first time around. The words 'Classic Mal' has undoubtedly been uttered from the mouths of each and every person watching Firefly for the second time. Whereas you probably found Nathan Fillion's misbehaving cowboy to be annoyingly arrogant and impossibly irresponsible when meeting him for the first time, it'd be hard not to find him much more charming upon revisiting him, knowing this time just how much of a genius he really is. Lastly, it's by Joss Whedon, and his dialogue is often so quick and witty that you may have missed it among all the action the first time around. Give Firefly another bash and appreciate all the little Whedonisms that make the mans shows such cult classics. They are so for a reason, you know.
