5 TV Shows That Should Have Got A Second Season

4. FlashForward

S1_Cast(1) When Lost finished its amazing run, ABC put a huge effort into finding its successor. Enter FlashForward. The plot itself was certainly intriguing enough to warrant the hype; a mysterious event causes the entire world's population to black out for approximately 2 minutes and 17 seconds, with each person getting a glimpse of their life 6 months into the future. The series itself had everything going for it, everything except support from ABC. I loved FlashForward. There, I said it. I know, I know, there were more holes in the plot than Lance Armstrong's 'apology' and some of the characters were ridiculously annoying, but I still enjoyed it. The concept of the series was extremely interesting and I would have loved to see what the writers had in store for season 2. One complaint I often hear from non-fans is the fact that there was just too much going on. Plots were changed or dropped, but most shows struggle to find their place for the first few episodes. Anyway, most of the mysteries laid at the start were answered in the finale, so I don't think they were making it up as they went along. ABC's decision to cancel this and grant the less popular 'V' a second season was downright disgraceful. FlashForward had more than enough potential to succeed, and with a little polish, it could have been a huge hit.
