Numbered lists are nothing new to WhatCulture but never has the job of putting together one been so pleasurable for us. Spending the past weekend as valuably as any other, we drew up a list of those beautiful ladies of contemporary pop culture who are undeniably talented and hot but who don’t (usually) hog the spotlight or make it onto the Top sexy lists of FHM or others.
The task we set ourselves… to highlight the 50 sexiest woman whose faces you’ve ever never seen or if you have been fortunate enough to be previously acquainted, you’ve not forgotten them. Even if you can’t quite remember their name.
You’ll enjoy this list. It’s an eye-catcher…
50: Beth Behrs
One half of the waitresses at CBS’ uber popular show Two Broke Girls, Beth Behrs is one of the sexiest blondes on TV but she so nearly wasn’t. Having taken jobs in little seen productions, such as 2009′s direct-to-video sequel American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, leggy Behrs auditioned for Two Broke Girls and was put through SEVEN auditions by the casting director before she landed the gig of former heiress Caroline Channing. And we are certainly thankful she persisted in winning the role, our monday nights wouldn’t be the same without her.
49: Taylor Cole
You may recognize Taylor Cole as a regular on several now defunct TV series (Summerland, Heroes) or her role as super sexy assassin Vicky Roberts on NBC’s The Event. The 28-year-old former model, volleyball player and Megan Fox lookalike has now moved on to a recurring role as lab technician Samantha Owen on CSI: Miami and gained recent attention for her memorable guest roles on Two and a Half men and Hawaii Five-O.
48: Christina Baily
31-year-old actress has appeared in Brit soaps Hollyoaks and Coronation Street. She can currently can be seen fronting the Muller Yogurt TV advertising campaign an advertising campaign that sure works on us!
47: Konnie Huq
Certainly known in the UK, this one is for our American readers. The former Blue Peter presenter who is the third longest-serving in the history of the iconic show, has kept the teen audience watching long after they have become fully-grown men. Recently she co-wrote the second episode of Channel 4′s surreal series Black Mirror with her husband Charlie Brooker, so she is sadly off the market.
46: Nicki Clyne
The 29-year-old Canadian’s biggest role to date has been playing Carly in the critically acclaimed remake of Battlestar Galactica. Her role in the show was initially no more than a glorified extra but when the series was commissioned for a full run, she was promoted to be part of the regular cast. Lucky us!

I really like your site but articles like this annoy me. First of all, listing women in some order of attractiveness makes you look like archaic, stuck-in-90′s lad culture, drooling oafs.
Despite covering the kind of topics (games, movies, wwe etc) that are predominantly aimed at men, I’ve never thought of Whatculture as being an exclusively male website, will you be doing a top 50 sexiest males as well?
I read your articles because they provide information about topics I am interested in, therefore providing a service. This article seems to say “Hey Guys! Why not masturbate over these girls?” and very little else.
Secondly, using the words “…you’ve probably never heard of” is incredibly condescending towards your readership. It’s suggests some kind of cultural superiority on your part, as if you have an all-encompassing knowledge that us, the lowly reader, can only dream of having.
WhatCulture has always, to me, had an inclusive, welcoming “made by us, for people like us” sort of vibe. By suggesting that your readers “won’t have heard of” certain things is an insult to our intelligence, and our knowledge.
Thanks,
Tommy.
Appreciate the feedback Tommy and we regret that we annoyed you. Certainly wasn’t our intention but we appreciate the feedback as this kind of list was something new for us and depending on what you guys make of it, will very much decide whether we do any more similar lists. I’m not sure I entirely agree that the list reverts us back to a 90′s time warp when sites like IGN and others annually do several similar lists but I won’t argue against your opinion.
In terms of why the list is female centric, it is simply the fact that most of the What Culture writers are male. About 95% of them. I would happily run the same list of the male equilivant if one of more of our female writers wanted to put one together. I’d be delighted to run that actually.
The reason why we want with the probably never heard of title was more to point out that our selection of women wouldn’t usually get on similar lists like Megan Fox, Kirsten Stewart, Cheryl Cole and others would. We could have gone with 50 Sexiest Women Who Usually Don’t Make Top 100 Lists but I’m not sure it would have been as enticing to read.
Anyway Tommy, I really hope you stick around with us and continue to read our site. Unfortunately with the vast amount of topics and subjects we cover, there is bound to be some articles that don’t interest everyone but we will listen to our audience and if this kind of list is not wanted, we will cease to do them in the future.
..”using the words “…you’ve probably never heard of” is incredibly condescending towards your readership. It’s suggests some kind of cultural superiority on your part, as if you have an all-encompassing knowledge that us, the lowly reader, can only dream of having.”…
Are you serious!?! Tommy, you really need to stop trying to read into “throw away” comments. That description simply makes reference to the fact that these women are not A-list celebrities who’s names are not known by the masses. You must have far too much free time on your hands if you actually had the time to let that article title offend you.
ANd speaking of being offended, it seems like more and more people constantly search out reasons to be offended. You’re offended by the “…never heard of” comment and you’re offended by making a list of beautiful women. You say its “90′s lad culture”, yet these lists are done yearly by just about every magazine in existence. And then the lists are covered by shows such as Inside Hollywood and Extra which are predominately watched by women. These shows also spend lots of time commenting on the beauty of women. So to say this is “archaic and stuck in the 90′s” is just not true. With the way obesity it spreading across America (35.7% of American adults are obese), we should take the time to praise these people who actually care enough about themselves to keep their bodies in good shape. I notice more and more people getting offended by “beauty lists”. It makes me think that obese people dont like seeing beautiful people who dont eat fast food for all 3 meals.
Theres nothing wrong with commenting beauty. Everyone loves to be told they’re sexy/beautiful, so I dont know why people like you get offended by stuff like this.
If you are really a male (not pretending to be one so you can complain about the list), would you not feel good about yourself if you were listed as one of the top 50 sexy/handsome men in whatever industry you’re in? I know I would.
There is nothing offensive about this list or the title of the list. Stop trying to find something to be offended about. If the first thing you thought about was people masturbating to the pictures, maybe you have the problem. I know I was able to scroll through all 50 pictures without thinking about masturbating. And apparently you werent.
I agree with Tommy K here. And Matt Holmes, suggesting that “sites like IGN and others annually do several similar lists” means it’s okay for you to do it? Pretty pathetic.
And the list is NOT just “female centric”, it’s APPEARANCE centric. This is not a list of 50 awesome women, 50 talented women, 50 women outstanding in their industry/area of expertise. You focus on their looks, which is pretty vain and low and, as Tommy K said, seems to be there to say “Hey Guys! Why not masturbate over these girls?” and very little else.
All the more pathetic when you look at the list and, for most of these suggestions [though I can't say all because I stopped a few pages in, as reading sexist trash like this felt akin to hitting myself with a hammer], you COULD focus on something OTHER than their appearance.
“In terms of why the list is female centric, it is simply the fact that most of the What Culture writers are male. About 95% of them. I would happily run the same list of the male equilivant if one of more of our female writers wanted to put one together. I’d be delighted to run that actually.”
I don’t see how your female writers concocting a similar list of 50 sexy men would be any better.
How about, oh I don’t know, you write a list that doesn’t focus on just the looks of people? I’m positive that even though 95% of your writers are male, they can manage to write something that isn’t just “Phwoar, look at her!” x 50.
I’m not sure I understand your point on IGN?
It’s a light-hearted article guy, jeez.
We do hundreds of lists a year about why people are talented, etc. We went for something different and obviously appreciate the feedback but you guys are blowing it way out of proportion.
A lot of the comments underneath the pictures do highlight why the girls are talented. It is written lightheartedly, nothing obscene has been said about any of them.
Also, ive received positive feedback from a few of the women on the list and they don’t see any problem with it, they quite liked it and re-posted the article.
I can understand the whole sexism thing but its also ok to have fun occasionally.
This is pretty lame, you don’t talk about the girls as talented when you spoke about a ‘sexy C4 presenter’, that was not about her presenting skills, more about how she looked.
It is these kinds of articles that prove that websites like this shouldn’t exist, and writers like you shouldn’t be getting any recognition from this.
Shut up, you tool. We want to see hot chicks. If you want to read the articles, read them. Let us oogle hot women. Besides, aren’t there some good gay sites you could just go and read instead?
Bloody hell tommy get a grip- are you a feminist?? You’re just looking to be offended, no one forced you to go through the 50 women- which i bet you did. As Matt says they cover a wide range of topics and they shouldn’t have to apologise for not catering for only your taste. Have you never looked at a woman and been like ‘shes hot’ (or ‘hes hot’ if you’re gay) ? I don’t think your criticism is at all valid and you just need to get down from your high horse.
Great interview with MEW. She’s one of my favourite actresses, something very genuine about her.
Taylor Cole, AJ & Winstead <3
Most of the others aren't particularly attractive though..
Taylor Cole for Wonder Woman!!
Great job with AJ Lee. I actually started reading this article thinking “no way she’ll pop up on here” but totally believing she deserved a spot. And low and behold, in the top 20! Could’ve been in the top 5 though, if you ask me, since her hotness rate goes up since she’s a gamer nerd and an actual wrestling fan unlike the other dancer-turned-divas in WWE.
She is pretty great.
Julia Hardy is the No.1 babe, nuff said.
sames as the ugliest 11 in football.
trashy article
Cool list, interesting bios and great to see AJ on there although I was surprised not to see Jocelin Donahue make an appearance.
The opinions of two people do not take away from the fact that this is a great article.
It’s nice to know though that there are two guys out there who are fighting the good fight on behalf of all women. I’m sure womankind will sleep much better now. Thanks guys.
Summer Glau FTW!
Something is wrong…
Of these 50 women maybe 3 deserve to be in the top 50!!!!!!
CSI: Miami is done. Taylor Cole is now doing a season arc on The Glades. And yes, definitely has got the look for Wonder Woman.
Good list Amarpal, absolutely nothing wrong with something light hearted, it’s all in the name of fun and hardly offensive, if anything it’s a massive compliment to be included on such a list, everyone likes to be apreciated.
Anyway, there are some I agree with and some I don’t, but that’s always gonna be the case with something as objective as this. One name I would include is Laura Haddock from The Inbetweeners Movie, she stole that film for me!
Thanks man. Some of the girls who are on the list have sent me quite nice messages saying that they are faltered. I havnt seen The Inbetweeners film yet but looked up Laura Haddock and I see what you mean….
Thought of another one for you man- Madeline Zima from Californication.
Does Katrina Bowden from 30 Rock count? She’s starting to make a bit of a name for herself now but she’s still hardly a household name.
Check them both out and see what you think.
I don’t think there’s any problem with this sort of thing, FWIW. In fact the only reason I came here was because one of your feature ladies posted the link and was quite happy about it. Women like checking out women too, fwiw…. that’s why there are far more ‘sexiest women’ lists than ‘sexist men’ lists. They’re just more popular in general. If you think there should be another sexiest men list, no one’s stopping you from creating it yourself! This is the internet, after all.
Yeah, because Konnie Huq is clearly white…
Ok… I Really really didn’t like something about this list….
.
.
.
Where is Caprica Six??? (Tricia Helfer)
She is super hot and completely underrated! We need to see more of her!
Anyway, good list. I’m a girl and not offended by the list at all… People really need to grow up.
IT IS a very beatiful image
Nicki Clyne’s character was named Cally, not Carly.
This kind of smarmy, outdated thing is a ball drop. Did you take a time machine to 1952? First time visitor, unlikely to return.
shame
It’s so sexy!
“Born Bree Joanna Alice Robinson in Melbourne, Australia. She was the lead singer in The Distillers and currently fronts Spinnerette. She is also married to Queens Of The Stoneage frontman Josh Holmes.”
Normally I don’t like pointing out mistakes like this but this is just blasphemy.
Josh HOMME. He’s only like the best person ever.
Nikki Clyne played Cally (Calandra), not Carly.
Felicia Day, she’s a cutie but also a die-hard geek with a pretty great web show called “The Guild”.
This makes me mad. You forgot the most beautiful woman on earth: the form Aphrodite has obviously chosen to take here on the mortal realm, Odette Annable.
Is not gud bcous is bad
The article was interesting and it was nice to hear about some of the actresses I do not normally get to hear about. Although I will have to say I was expecting to see Felicia Day. She has been in the web series “The Guild”, in Eureka, Supernatural and more. Just seems like a fantastic, hot woman that a good part of society hasn’t heard of, but would recognize.
If these girls are sexy, then I should have been on this list.
Felicia Day….I must have missed her. Can’t believe this list exists without her.
Does no one know of Simone Simons?. She is a goddess forged from beauty.
Lauren Laverne! You lost me there, I think Jessica Brown Findlay should be on this list. Shes gonna be in a lot of films soon and check her out http://mostlyfilm.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/jb-f.jpg
Konnie Huq!? You’re a Brooker fan, arencha?
I want talk to one of the lady direc
Hanna minx seriously?
1. ive heard of her
2. she is just a boobtuber on youtube who shows some cleavage for views
3. 16 others on this list are 10-20 times hotter than her. SERIOUSLY!
Hottest woman in the world is Xenia deli. No one comes close
So, according to this list, there are NO sexy women over 30?
Give me a fukin break!
Mandy Morbid?
Says quite a bit.
