6 Awesome TV Actors Who Failed On The Big Screen

5. Sarah Michelle Gellar

Awesome In: Buffy the Vampire Slayer "Best" Movie: Scream 2 Cinematic Filmography Includes: Cruel Intentions, Scooby-Doo, The Grudge, I Know What You Did Last Summer I hold a very special place in my heart for the 2002 outing of Scooby-Doo. It's the part I can't convince that Sugar Ray wasn't a brilliant musician and that Digimon was a complete and separate entity than Pokemon. I can watch Scooby-Doo and still enjoy it, but I know it's horrible. I'll admit to loving all of the Scream movies, even though they're complete retreads of tired material that was brilliant in conception because it was so fresh. Gellar made quite a name for herself with Buffy and she really grew and adapted with the role, making her (for a while) a house-hold name; something not easily done by a female protagonist in a sci-fi show. I've never denied the girl's got talent, I just wish she could grab an agent who will throw her a decent film script every once in a while.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
