This week Netflix revealed it has acquired the rights to the much-talked about animation The Little Prince. What's interesting is that the news comes a day or so before Paramount Pictures were due to release it in cinemas. Is it a sign of further change within the film industry? For the independent film-makers and those who might see the traditional picture houses as a much less attractive option, especially when Netflix can guarantee them an upfront fee? Absolutely. Meanwhile, a company in Cambridge claims it has developed a solution for the colourblind Netflix viewer. Their Eyeteq system would enable viewers to finally see the true colour of the pink teddy bear in Breaking Bad. So with Easter on its way, you'll no doubt fancy binging on a box set after you've finished binging on boxed eggs. Leading the pack this week is a comedy horror film that had everyone talking at Christmas. Yes, Netflix have gone a little loco by dropping a festive favourite so early, but if Gremlins is a year-round title, why not this one? If space exploration is your thing, there are two completely different offerings. One features an in-depth look at our galaxy and challenges our perceptions of the world around us, while other one has a hell of a lot of... Sheep. A British movie gets quite a high profile on TV too, with one of its stars having not only written and produced it, but directed in it too - You might know him as Rose Tyler's old boyfriend before the Doctor rocked up. What are you waiting for? Get reading so you can get watching the new stuff on Netflix this week.
