8 Creepiest Twin Peaks Moments

7. Ronette's Flashback

One of the most intriguing parts of Twin Peaks is unravelling the mystery, and this scene served as both a key piece of plot pie and a reminder of how much the series can get under your skin (or fingernails).

Ronette Pulaski is the lesser known victim of BOB, who arrived dazed and confused from the Washington woods, reported missing a day prior. Since then, she had appeared bed-bound in the hospital, and it would be fair for any fan to forget about her significance in the story after she did not feature for almost a full season.

Then, on one fateful night, she woke from her bed, thrashing in a desolate hospital as she recalled core details of Laura's demise and some eye-opening information about her killer.

The scene intercuts images of BOB running towards the camera, laughing and howling maniacally as he viciously stabs Laura Palmer to death in an abandoned train car. The garbled noises pitch BOB as an otherworldly force, throwing even more smoke and mirrors at his identity, and reminding fans that this isn't just a serial about an extremely complex love hexagon.
