8 Star Trek Deep Space Nine Plotlines That Will Fill ‘Into Darkness’ Void

8. The Dominion War

dominion war What happens when the Federation and its allies go to war? Unlike the new movies, there are no whispers of war here. You see the battles, the deaths and the Klingons in all of their glory. Star Trek DS9 is no Klingon tease. In this series we saw the slow march to war. With each exchange between the Federation and the Dominion war became a little bit more inevitable. This storyline begged the question of whether war could have been avoided? Should the Federation have honored Dominion boarders and stayed on their side of the wormhole instead of insisting on exploration space exploration or was war assured the moment Sisko discovered the wormhole? This incarnation also examined how the rules of war seemingly change for the loosing side. Was it right for Captain Sisko to lie to get the Romulans in the war on the side of the Federation? Was it right for a Federation admiral to stage a shut down of Earth€™s power stations in order to prove the vulnerability of Earth? How much freedom were humans willing to give up in order to feel safe against only two Changelings who happened to be on the planet. Sound familiar? I€™m just sayin!
