9 Ways The Big Bang Theory Could End

Imminent death and a world-saving, superhero Sheldon, of course.

There comes a time in every TV show's life when it has to realise the end is nigh. Fans would rather have one season of quality, than 10 dollops of mediocrity. The Big Bang Theory had some great moments, but now it's time for the dorky sitcom to implode into a point of singularity and disappear from our screens. The first few seasons were refreshingly brilliant, with the so-called 'geek humour' being proudly displayed as a badge of honour, but with nine seasons almost completed and more to come, you really have to wonder how many times a character can say: "Doctor Who, Transformers, Battlestar Galactica, Batman, Bazinga, versus Superman," at triple speed before even the studio audience can bear no more. But still there is hope, with every grand finale of a TV series there is hope; the ending can entirely change opinions about a show. How I Met Your Mother ran for eight seasons of near-perfection before concluding with a drawn-out ninth and a facepalm-worthy end. If The Big Bang Theory calls it a day with a tenth outing, it would mark an incredible journey for the show, its cast and crew, but could also salvage some of the comedic genius that once sparked the show into life. Here are 10 ways they could draw it all to a close, and who says they can't do more than one of them...?
