Agents Of SHIELD: 15 MCU Characters Who Realistically Could Still Appear

15. Doc Samson

Though 2008's The Incredible Hulk has been relatively swept under the rug in the years due to Mark Ruffalo's replacement of Edward Norton, the film is very much still canon, with references to it peppered throughout other films and even Agents of SHIELD itself. With no sequel in sight and none of the film's supporting characters having shown up in the flesh, however, fans haven't gotten the opportunity yet to see that corner of the MCU developed further. As one of the Hulk's more popular supporting characters in the comics, Leonard Samson - played by Ty Burrell in the film - more than deserves the chance to reappear, and the small screen would be a great place to do so. Burrell himself is no stranger to television and, considering he's been starring on ABC's own Modern Family since 2009, it wouldn't seem too big a struggle for the network to have him show up for a stint on SHIELD. Bringing Samson into the fold and building off his character from when fans last saw him - disagreeing with General Ross and having a newfound understanding for Banner and the Hulk - would be a great starting point for allowing the psychiatrist to play an active role in the universe, by helping struggling characters similar to Banner in working through their psychological issues.
