Agents Of SHIELD Season 3: 10 Questions We're Asking After Laws Of Nature

Are you Inhuman?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back, and in its third season looks like becoming the show fans have hoped for all along.

The show has undergone a lot of changes in its short life, in particular shaking things up last year with the introduction of the Inhumans. Although it got a little bogged down on all the stories it was trying to tell in season 2, it was a big step in the right direction, and season 3 picks up that ball and blasts through a few walls with it.

Inhumans are very much the focus of the opening episode, and likely the entire season, with Skye/Daisy (even Coulson gets confused) front and centre of the mission to find them, and the season 3 opener displays just how much her powers have developed.

It does the job of a typical season premiere, re-establishing the status quo and assembling its various pieces on the board, with most of the S.H.I.E.L.D. team returning and a few new faces as well. There's plenty of action, some good character moments, and crucially a sense that they really know what they want to do with the show now. It does a lot of setup, and although we do get some answers, it leaves a lot of mysteries on the table...

10. Who Did Those Legs Belong To (And Where's The Rest?)

Right at the very start of the episode it works its way through a house, which looks in a state of ruin, as though something major has gone down there. The camera doesn't linger too long, but as it passes through there's a glimpse of something that should really freak you out and make you take notice.

Yep, a pair of legs, just standing there in the kitchen as if the person was doing the dishes. Only, where's the upper half? It's a pretty gross yet intriguing image, but one that isn't addressed at all in the show.

Who do those legs belong to, and what in the hell happened to their owner? It may not be a question we ever actually get an answer to, but it's a pretty memorable opening.
