Agents Of SHIELD Season 4: 15 Characters Who Need To Return

Last Seen: Appointing Coulson as the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. at the end of season one following the defeat of John Garrett.

After leaving S.H.I.E.L.D. in new hands, Fury has kept quite a low profile in the MCU, appearing only in Age of Ultron, which saw him present at the Avengers facility by the film's end. He's since sat out the second, third, and fourth seasons of the series, as well as last year's Captain America: Civil War, leaving us to wonder where - or if - he'll be turning up again before Avengers: Infinity War next year.

While it's understandable why he hasn't turned up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. due to his passing of the leadership to Coulson - and, of course, having Samuel L. Jackson recur on a regular basis would be highly unlikely - at least one more appearance before this season concludes would be a welcome one, particularly if it meant allowing fans to find out what he's been up to since Age of Ultron, or at the very least, it'd be fun to see him turn up in the alternate reality of the Framework in a world where HYDRA has won and S.H.I.E.L.D. is no more.
