American Horror Story has terrified the living daylights out of us for the better part of seven years now and, as a result, has gone on to win a string of awards. The FX anthology series has dealt with various forms of horror, including psychological and point-of-view, and has made a name for itself by rebooting every season with a new storyline and a new setting, all the while retaining the same cast.

However, series creator Ryan Murphy has officially confirmed that the upcoming eighth season of the show will revisit not one, but two, of the previous storylines. That's right, the Murder House/Coven crossover is finally happening.

Murder House, which was the very first season of AHS, remains one of the show's stronger outings, and focused on the Los Angeles-based haunted house after the Harmon family move in. The third season - Coven - was set in New Orleans and focused on a clan of witches studying at Miss Robichaux's Academy.

After the initial excitement over Murphy's announcement subsided, there are a bunch of questions that need answering in regards to this highly anticipated crossover.

10. Will The Murder House Or Miss Robichaux's Academy Be The Setting?

In addition to focusing on a new form of horror each season, American Horror Story also moves the action from one part of America to another. Murder House centred around the Harmon family, who moved from Boston to Los Angeles in the hopes of a new life after Vivien (Connie Britton) discovered that her husband Ben (Dylan McDermott) was having an affair. They set up shop in a creepy Los Angeles mansion that subsequently became known - both in the show and in the real world - as the murder house. To this day, the murder house remains one of AHS' most memorable settings.

The Coven season was set in New Orleans, and focused on a group of new witches who were training and living at the prestigious Miss Robichaux's Academy. The gorgeous building was at the centre of all the action, and is another of AHS' most recognisable locations.

But with the crossover between the two award-winning seasons on the horizon, which one of these two locations will be the primary setting? Could the witches of Miss Robichaux's pay a visit to the haunted house in LA, or will the ghosts of the murder house somehow find themselves in New Orleans? With New Orleans' supernatural history and connections thrown into the mix, anything is possible.
