American Horror Story: 10 Ways The Different Seasons Can Be Connected

Too much crazy for just one season.

Ryan Murphy dropped a bomb on American Horror Story fans when he confirmed in October that all seasons of the hit series are connected. The audience had surmised and fiddled with such an idea, but now it was all substantiated. According to Murphy, Season 2 (Asylum) is connected to Season 4 (Freak Show), which is connected to Season 1 (Murder House). He didn€™t specify how all of that relates to Season 3 (Coven), but that€™s not stopping anybody. Audiences should know what the theme for Season 5 is around March - that's when Murphy announced the theme for Freak Show last year - which might grant a little more insight into ways the stories are connected. Until then, however, there are four other seasons to dig into. Wild theories have been shared over lattes in coffee shops, fans have developed timelines and family trees, and the American Horror Story Wikia is bursting at the seams with posts from fans trying to figure it all out. The creators did give the audience a few easy connections in this fourth season with recurring characters, but other links aren't as obvious. From repeated family names to theories about re-incarnation, there's a plethora of ideas swimming in the ether and here are ten of the best.
