American Horror Story: Apocalypse - 6 Major Questions Raised By The Finale

4. How Does It Affect The Events Of Hotel (And Other Seasons)?

American Horror Story Apocalypse Michael

Since the events of both Murder House and Coven have already taken place prior to Mallory killing Michael, they should be unaffected by the events that transpired here. The same goes for Freak Show and Asylum, which took place in the 1950s and 1960s, respectively. The rest of the show? Not so much.

It’s very possible that the events that transpired in Roanoke and Cult have been indirectly altered by a butterfly effect when Mallory prevented the apocalypse. This may seem like a stretch, since these seasons are loosely connected, but a minor change of events that occurred somewhere can and will cause big changes elsewhere.

While it’s a mystery how, or if, those seasons were impacted, we do know it changes at least some of the events that transpired in Hotel, because Mallory stops Queenie from ever going to the Hotel Cortez, and thus from being killed by James Patrick March.

While this will have at least a slight impact on how the last couple of episodes played out, even the events that occurred prior in the season may have been altered in some way by a butterfly effect.

Whether or not we see changes made to these seasons remains to be seen, if at all, but one thing's for sure: things aren't the same after Apocalypse.
