American Horror Story: Apocalypse - 6 Ups & 1 Down From 'Boy Wonder'

5. Michael's True Nature Comes To Light

American Horror Story Apocalypse Michael Langdon Hell
FX

In spite of his charming demeanour and devilishly handsome exterior, Michael Langdon is a force to be reckoned with - something that is becoming more apparent with each passing episode. However, while the viewers are aware of this, the characters are not, as he's very good at masking his true face.

Despite this, his true nature begins to shine through in this episode. John Henry Moore sees the face that Cordelia described in her vision, and realises that Michael is incredibly dangerous. Unable to let him voice his concerns, Michael puts an end to John, reinforcing the horrifying lengths he will go to in order to succeed.

Rescuing Misty from hell, however, proves to be Michael's most terrifying scene yet, and watching him speak the language of the devil with the hell-dwellers only intensifies how truly awful he really is.

Bringing Misty back from the dead might've given Michael the power he needs to become Supreme, but it could prove to be his undoing in the future. The swamp-witch can sense the evil in the demonic creature, and alongside her sisters, she'll likely try and snuff it out.
