American Horror Story: Hotel - Every Promo Trailer (And What They Tell Us)

So it seems that the new season of American Horror Story will be an exciting one.

Premiering on 7 October 2015, producers and actors alike are claiming that the show is going back to its roots and that the season will have the same feel as it did back in Season 1, which was arguably the best season so far.

"I think it's going to be really scary," actor Dennis O'Hare told TVonline at the Emmy Awards. "It feels like season 1 in a lot of ways."

It centres around Detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley) who investigates a series of murders, and it leads him to Hotel Cortez, a hotel run by the eccentric Elizabeth a.k.a The Countess (played by Lady Gaga, of course).

These promo trailers are just as eerie as the seasons before, they tease us with hints as to what will happen in the 5th installment of the show and even hint at which actors will be playing who (or what). But they also leave a lot of questions unanswered. Like, who is this Countess? Why is she allowing all this strange activity in her hotel? And what's with all the freaky blonde kids?

These teaser trailers that have been released could easily be mistaken for Lady Gaga music videos... take a look and make of them what you will.

The first teaser that was released at Comic Con this year and showed Gaga's eerie hand ringing the bell at the front desk. It seems Elizabeth is too posh to check herself in.

But why is this trailer so creepy? Other than the obvious fact that it's American Horror Story, surely it must link to the plot somehow?

It seems like the Countess will be a mysterious figure on the show and many fans on Reddit speculate that she will be linked to the "Ten Commandments" killings that lead Detective John Lowe to the hotel.
