Fans have been anticipating the eighth season of American Horror Story for quite some time now, and ever since series creator Ryan Murphy announced that the upcoming series would be the crossover between Murder House and Coven seasons, excitement levels went through the roof.

There have been plenty of questions about what the crossover will mean, but the main one was what the title would be. Now, after months of wondering, we finally have our answer. The eighth season will be entitled American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

In addition to the title reveal, we were also treated to a chilling new poster:

As Murder House ended with Constance Langdon (Jessica Lange) deliberating over what to do with the evil anti-christ baby, it's likely that the premise of the crossover will feature the return of the satanic child - hence the apocalypse. The baby on the poster also seems to confirm this. How the Coven witches are to tie in has yet to be revealed, but perhaps the gifted women will be summoned to put an end to the devilish kid once and for all?

American Horror Story is going back to basics (and back to two of its strongest seasons) for Season 8, and the title - and the creepy poster - only adds to the hype. Is it September yet?
