For most of Season 4, Cersei had been counting down the days until her brother was sentenced to death for the murder of her son Joffrey. He almost won his freedom, by demanding a trial of combat, but Cerseis champion Sir Gregor Clegane won even after being mortally wounded. It looked as if Cerseis prayers had been answered and her brother Tyrion would finally be brought to justice, but she didnt bank on Jaime Lannister sneaking to Tyrions cell and helping him to escape. In a shock twist, Tyrion killed his father with a crossbow before escaping Kings Landing on a ship with his future hanging in the balance. The Imp, as he is maliciously called, had a terrible time in Season 4 first he was forced to send away Shae, the women he loved, because it was too dangerous for her to remain in Kings Landing. Then King Joffrey was poisoned and Tyrion was accused, imprisoned and left to endure an unfair trial during which his beloved Shae testified against him. Tyrion got his revenge by murdering Shae and his father, but at what cost? Will he ever be able to live with himself, and where can he run to? If you cant wait until Season 5 to get your GoT fix, then now would be a good time to get rewatching the series to make sure you know your Rickon from your Reek.
