9. Who Dies

This season is going to focus on Oliver as a father to William, so if there's one near-certain death then it's Samantha. She doesn't have any other role in the show apart from being William's mother, so it'd be hard to see how she'd fit in now.

We can probably consider Malcolm a goner too, given he was on a land mine and then the island blew up too, while John Barrowman said he wouldn't be around this year. Digger Harkness, aka Captain Boomerang, was randomly brought back for the finale, and didn't offer much, so his death can be used to add to the body count.

A previously mentioned, I think one of the al Ghul sisters will die, and Nyssa seems slightly more likely than Talia, who hasn't been around as long. Evelyn could be killed off too, since she doesn't seem to have much more to do.

The biggest deaths, outside of Merlyn, could be Curtis Holt and/or Quentin Lance. Curtis hasn't fully adapted to being a vigilante, so that could go either way (maybe depending on the Vigilante plans), while Lance's death has felt like a long-time coming. He's the last of Ollie's parent figures, and since the theme of Season 6 is 'family' and Oliver has to deal with being a parent himself, it'd make thematic sense for him to be killed off - even if Paul Blackthorne would be a big miss, and the showrunners might not go through with it. Ultimately, while it looked like total devastation, we're probably going to find most of the main players emerge unscathed.
