Arrow Season 7: 10 Reasons It Should Be The Last

9. Roy Harper's Return Brings The Series Full-Circle

Arrow Season 7
The CW

One of Arrow Season 7's main selling points is the return of Roy Harper, with Colton Haynes rejoining as a series regular. Roy was a major part of Arrow during its first three seasons and his return could see him receive the ending he deserves - and bring the show full-circle.

When Arrow began, Roy was a moody punk from the streets who wanted to do some good. Oliver then took him under his wing and moulded him into the hero known as Arsenal. Thus, when Oliver's identity as The Arrow was originally outed in Season 3, Roy took the wrap and claimed to be the vigilante. After going to prison, he faked his death and willingly forced himself into a life on the road.

Roy's exoneration and return isn't just a full-circle moment for him - it's a full-circle moment for the show, as it brings the story back to where it started. With Oliver behind bars and vigilantes off the streets, there is no one left to save Star City. That is, until a mysterious archer shows up.

With that archer in all likelihood being Roy, it gives the former protege a chance to be what he always wanted to be: a hero. No longer the moody punk or the Arrow's sidekick, Roy now has a chance to save the city. And this development could the perfect starting point for the show's final season.
