Arrow Season 7: 4 Ups & 0 Downs From 'The Demon'

2. Talia’s Return (And Redemption)

Arrow S7 Talia Al Ghul
The CW

Without a doubt, the most shocking moment of the episode came when it was revealed that The Demon (that Oliver had been searching for throughout the last few episodes) was none other than Talia Al Ghul. Long thought to have perished in the explosion on Lian Yu during the Season 5 finale, Talia was the daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul and Oliver’s former mentor (before she turned on him and aligned herself with Adrian Chase).

Scarred from the explosion, Talia was now imprisoned in Slabside’s Level Two and wanted Oliver’s help to escape. Though the pair hated the idea of working together, they eventually put their differences aside and buried the hatchet as Oliver agreed to help her escape if she helped him expose the shady experiments that Dr. Parker was doing on the inmates.

The former enemies then teamed up and put on an incredible showing, destroying an army of riot police as they fought their way to the exit. However, when the time came, Oliver told Talia to save herself, asking her to pass on the evidence of Slabside’s experiments to Felicity. She agreed and, just like that, this relationship began mending itself.

We always wondered what happened to Talia after the explosion and it was nice to finally have some closure. However, it was even sweeter to see her redeem herself and fight alongside her former protégé. But now that she’s out, how will she impact the rest of the Arrowverse?
