Arrow Season 8 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Leap Of Faith'

Arrow's final season delivers another wonderfully nostalgic episode with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger.

Arrow certainly hasn't held back this season. In a mere two episodes, we have already witnessed multiple returns, unexpected alliances and even the destruction of Earth-2.

Of course, this all-or-nothing approach has everything to do with the fact that the show is, in many ways, acting as a lead-in for the Arrowverse's long-teased Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover, but it also has everything to do with the fact that Season 8 will be Arrow's last.

Naturally, this week's instalment 'Leap of Faith' continued that trend of using its time wisely with a take-no-prisoners approach, as Oliver Queen returned to Nanda Parbat in a bid to get answers on Mar Nova (a.k.a. The Monitor) only to be met by the Thanatos Guild. But, like its predecessors, it also sprinkled the action with some welcome nostalgia, as the Emerald Archer also ended up running into enemy-turned-ally Talia Al Ghul and, more importantly, his sister Thea.

Another strong outing, the third episode in the season was capped off by another jaw-dropping cliffhanger that threatens to change the Arrowverse forever, and the whole thing was executed to perfection by some stunning direction from Katie Cassidy.
