Arrow Season 8 Review: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Present Tense'

Downs...

2. Grant Wilson's Debut (Return)

Legends of Tomorrow Deathstroke
The CW

It was a definite surprise to see Grant Wilson in charge of the Deathstroke gang. Having previously appeared in Star City's other dark future on Legends of Tomorrow - where he too led a Deathstroke army - it was undeniably nice to see Jamie Andrew Cutler back on the show. That being said, his official debut (given that this current timeline hasn't been wiped from existence) was somewhat underwhelming.

As he was nothing more than the ghoulish figurehead behind the birth of the Deathstrokes that would inevitably train JJ, he wasn't given a backstory, a goal or any kind of development whatsoever. And as he's Slade Wilson's son, this was rather disappointing.

Slade now knows of his other son's existence, so you would expect him to show up at some point (given that he was supposed to go off and look for him), right? If so, maybe we'll get more than what we got here.
