Arrow may have reigned over the superhero landscape for the better part of a decade, but The CW's Green Arrow-inspired TV series is officially over. No doubt those words will take some time to sink in for longtime fans of the show - much like the series finale will itself.

Hitting screens after an hour-long retrospective, the finale gave viewers a chance to revisit the past (and even the future) before it brought the show to an emotional conclusion. And given that it had eight years of history to tie up - and the aftermath of Crisis On Infinite Earths to address - you can rest assured that this was no easy feat.

Waving goodbye to the beloved Oliver Queen while rewriting the fate of the multiverse, 'Fadeout' did its best to wrap up as many of the show's long-running narratives while also weaving in a few enjoyable nods to the past for good measure. However, there were a number of genuinely shocking moments which left us wondering what it all really meant.

Please be aware, this post contains MAJOR spoilers from Arrow's Season 8 (and series) finale.
