Arrowverse: Every Pilot Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Batwoman

The latest of the Arrowverse's shows, Batwoman made quite the impression on viewers with its first episode - mainly because it was a lot better than the controversial trailer suggested it was going to be. And it's easy to see why there was such appreciation for it.

Kate Kane's return to Gotham City proved to be a strong central narrative, as we quickly became attached to Kate herself, her journey towards herosim, and the supporting characters that surrounded her.

Furthermore, she looked the part (though it would have been nice to see her wear the red wig right away) and her battle with Alice felt like something off the big screen.

That's the problem with this pilot, however, as the fact that it exhibited film-like elements reminded us of the drawbacks of it being a TV episode.

There was more than enough story to fill out an hour or two of programming, which ultimately resulted in the episode feeling quite rushed. That aside, it told a solid story and turned the tide for Batwoman, showing that unlike the trailer, the show has real promise.
