The Big Bang Theory: 8 Reasons To Be Excited About Season 8

The new season of the biggest show on TV arrives September 22nd.

For a while it was a little up in the air as to whether we€™d even see a new season of television€™s most popular sitcom. CBS decided to play all of their cards and renew the show for three years €“ through seasons eight, nine and ten and right into 2017 €“ but hadn€™t locked the cast into contract before they did so, allowing central trio Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki free rein to renegotiate their contracts. The three are getting €˜Friends money€™ now: a million dollars an episode each, which pretty much signals the death of the show after season ten regardless of the ratings, as €“ like Friends and Frasier before it €“ the show will become just too expensive to air. But, with a slight delay in filming, season eight now appears to be back on schedule. So what does the next television year have in store for our favourite geeks and their long-suffering better halves? There are, of course, spoilers heading your way here€ so if you€™ve been sticking your fingers in your ears and going €œla la la la I can€™t hear you€ at the whole internet for the last few weeks, then turn away now.
