Bran Stark's All Grown Up In Game Of Thrones Season 6 Official Image

Warning: May make you feel old.

EW have shown off a fresh look at the returning Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Bran Stark in the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones. Clearly, puberty happened a long time ago for the young actor (now 16 years old). Hardly surprising, considering we last saw him in 2014's fourth season. Last we saw young Brandon, he was being rescued by the Children of the Forest - who apparently have nifty barbering skills, judging by that new haircut - and brought before the Three-Eyed Raven (set to be played by Max Von Sydow this coming season). We can expect him to continue his 'Greenseer' training, and apparently also go for some sort of donkey ride, according to this photo. I think it was a wise choice to sideline Bran and Hodor (Kristian Nairn) last year, as there were a lot more important, complex stories to be following other than Bran-sits-in-a-cave-with-an-Ent. His reappearance indicates big things for not only his storyline, but the over-arching plot of the entire series. If the showrunners are ready to get cooking with Bran's story again, which is arguably one of the bigger threads running through the backbone of the show (and its source material), it feels like its because things are coming to a head. With supposedly only two seasons left to go, we're about to start seeing a lot of loose threads coming together, and fans should have nothing but excitement for what the future holds for Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones Season Six airs on HBO in April 2016.
