9. Skyler's Admission Of Sleeping With Ted
For everything Walt has done up to the point we are introduced to Ted Beneke in season two, it's impossible not to feel just a little bit sorry for him when Skyler begins an affair with Beneke.
Walt had his suspicions all along about the somewhat sleazy business owner, but Skyler's cold-blooded admission to Walt that she has indeed been having it away with Ted is a kick in the stomach.
Despite seeming to accept the news on the face of it, Walt does indeed become enraged with Beneke and marches straight to the offices to confront him, albeit with little success.
Throughout the entire show, Skyler is someone who at times you simply cannot love. For all Walt's misgivings and the horror he puts her through, she still comes across at times as nagging and whiney, leading the viewer to almost will Walt on further.
He affair and subsequent admission of said affair with Beneke only further entices you into getting right behind Walt's drive for power.
