Breaking Bad: 6 Possible Fates for Walter White

6. Jesse Will Kill Him

This is a possibility that has pretty much been there since the start of the series, however Vince Gilligan was originally going to kill off Jesse in Season 1, so if Vince had known at the start how the show was going to end, this certainly wasn't the way he was going to do it. Having said that, Jesse has now become ridiculously important to the show, and since Walter White has almost at this point become the villain in a marvelous character turn, Jesse, who started the show the least moral of the two, is now the character the audience roots for the most. I could probably deal with Walter being shot in the head and dying at the end of the series, but if Jesse bites it, I don't think my heart can quite take the pain. That said, Jesse's death would certainly have a profound impact on Walter and a marvelous effect on the audience so I wouldn't rule out the possibility. As Walter has been headed into villainy, Jesse was slowly been becoming the hero, so in common film and TV conventions, it isn't unlikely that Jesse will somehow be forced to end Walter's life. I still think this is one of the least likely outcomes however. There are a lot of secrets Walter is still keeping from Jesse, who he loves like a son (more so at this point than probably his actual son Walt Jr). Walter has never told Jesse the truth about what happened the night Jesse's drug addict girlfriend died, and has yet to tell him he was the one to poison his girlfriends son. If Jesse were to find these two pieces of information out, he would certainly confront Walter and at least almost kill him. The reason I still think this is unlikely however is that Walter has been there for Jesse like no one in his life has been, and Walter truly loves the boy. In the end, though a showdown between the two is possible, it is likely that Jesse will grant Walter his life despite the horrible things he has done, as a last sign of respect for the man who has been looking out for him (for the most part) all this time. It is unlikely however that the two will end this show best buds.

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
