Breaking Bad vs Dexter: 4 Ways Dexter Lost To Walter White

Breaking Bad Dexter Endings are a very difficult thing to pull off well. So much has to be tied up in order to give the story and the characters a proper conclusion, especially if it is the ending to a much loved series. In the past we've seen very mixed reactions to the conclusions of series, such as Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Smallville or The Dark Knight Rises due to complaints that not enough was tied up satisfactorily. This Fall two of the most acclaimed televisions series ended in memorable ways. One ended very well, the other very, very badly. Dexter's finale was, in my opinion, a disservice to not only the fans, but largely to the entire show. Breaking Bad's ending, on the other hand, respected and honoured everything that had come before. In this article I'm going to discuss why Dexter's final season failed to deliver on several fronts compared to Breaking Bad's much talked about, and much better, ending. So, without further ado, let's examine how the Bay Harbour Butcher lost to Heisenberg.
