While it's the movie side of things that typically dominates San Diego Comic-Con, in particular with big reveals from Warner Bros. and Marvel, TV is becoming an increasingly major attraction for Hall H goers.

Indeed, a lot of movie studios don't bring their big guns to SDCC, often choosing to focus on their own in-house events instead, like Marvel skipping last year, and Star Wars their Celebration just a week before.

It falls to TV shows to bring a lot of the excitement and major reveals, and that was certainly the case this year. Things kicked off on Thursday with a big panel showcasing Netflix and Marvel's various series, with looks at Luke Cage and Iron Fist, and Friday was pretty much given over to The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.

Saturday was taken up by the big-screen superheroes, but there were reveals from the small screen ones too, with the likes of The Flash and Arrow bringing some teasers. On the final day, meanwhile, Sherlock was one of the biggest panels to see.

They're just a few of the TV shows who were at Comic-Con this year with plenty to show off, and these are the biggest TV reveals from the past weekend.

Two popular, long-running genre shows announced that they were coming to an end at Comic-Con.

First up, MTV's Teen Wolf used its slot on Thursday to announce that the forthcoming sixth season would be its last. The show has been one of MTV's biggest non-reality series, and showrunner Jeff Davis said: "We're eternally grateful for the support we've received over these past six years and we're excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure." It was also confirmed that Dylan O'Brien, who sustained injuries on the set of Maze Runner that have kept him out of action, would be returning.

The Vampire Diaries has been running even longer, and The CW revealed that Season 8 would be the one to end things for Stefan and Damon. The ratings have been declining slightly for a while now, and there had been rumours about it happening. It's not the end of TVD either, as spin-off The Originals is still ongoing for now.
