Daredevil Season 3: 18 WTF Moments

A tale of two Daredevils.

Daredevil's third - and possibly final? - season premiered on Netflix this past weekend, and it's safe to say that it's a major return to form after a more inconsistent and bloated second year for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.

Season three has a tighter handle on its characters, introduces some ambitious new storylines and even does firm justice to a fan favourite villain. It's not a perfect batch of thirteen episodes by any means, but it is for the most part an ambitious credit to Marvel and Netflix's hit-and-miss partnership.

And season three certainly didn't leave fans wanting for moments both shocking and absurd, doubling down on gritty violence and comic book-y silliness in near-equal measure.

It's a difficult tone to strike successfully, but the show manages to be almost depressingly grim at times and also fundamentally daft without it seeming too jarring. A lot of superhero TV shows almost seem embarrassed to be superhero TV shows, but Daredevil continues to embrace its insane pulpiness with all its might.

And now, let's cross our collective fingers and toes that it won't join Iron Fist and Luke Cage on the chopping block...
