The highs and lows of Matt Smith's finale series in the Tardis.

With the 50th anniversary year now at a close and Series 8 not arriving on our screens until later on this year, it's a good time to look back and reflect on Matt Smith's last series as the Doctor. To say it was a polarizing series is a bit of an understatement: some loved it, and others quite openly hated it. We saw the loss of two partners, a new companion and an underlying mystery of "The Impossible Girl," and there were some stunningly memorable moments along the way. Overall, most complaints arose from the disconnected feel of the episodes, because more than anything, it was very much a "monster of the week" series. Personally, I liked that approach - not all episodes were fantastic but there were some very good ones, and in the interest of celebrating both the highs and lows of the series, we're ranking every episode in Series 7, as well as the 50th and Christmas specials separately. Of course, a spoiler warning is in place. So, here goes...
