Doctor Who: 5 Reasons Eleven's Regeneration Will Be Incredibly Heartbreaking

3. We Just Saw Eleven!!

This is what will possibly make the regeneration the worst €“ we just had a Doctor Who episode. It may seem a bit confusing, but when BBC spread Ten€™s last episodes over a year €“ and I€™m speaking from a psychologist€™s point of view €“ it made it easier to grieve because we were able to warm up to the idea of a new Doctor, Ten leaving, no more David Tennant, et cetera. However, unlike David Tennant, we just had an incredibly important episode of Doctor Who with incredible acting by Matt Smith and an amazing story line for Eleven that only poured salt in our wound as we remembered he€™d be leaving us in only a month. The Fiftieth Anniversary special was incredible €“ I think most of us, if not all €“ can agree on that, but it just reminded us what we would miss about Eleven. In my opinion, this is going to make it even more difficult to watch the episode, with Eleven€™s quirks that made us laugh fresh in our minds. But enough about us, there€™s also a storyline here that we have to remember. The Fiftieth ended with the Doctor finally knowing what he had to do. He knew Trenzalore was going to happen, but most likely doesn€™t expect to die there. He thinks that he€™s going to be able to find Gallifrey. He just got over the grief of what he thought he had done, and was finally at peace with himself. Of course that couldn€™t stay for too long.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
