Doctor Who: 8 Things We Might See In Series 8

8. €œGallifrey Falls No More.€ - The Curator

Tom Baker€™s bewildering cameo in the penultimate moments of the 50th anniversary special, €˜The Day Of The Doctor€™, brought more than just a treat for the longstanding fanatics. Baker€™s character, known only as the enigmatic €˜Curator€™, hinted that Gallifrey had been saved by the combined efforts of the Doctor€™s multiple incarnations. The events of €˜The Time Of The Doctor€™ confirmed that Gallifrey had indeed been saved and was waiting in a pocket universe for the Doctor to give the all clear for the Time Lords to return. Series 8 might just see that return, and Capaldi€™s Doctor may finally get to go home after centuries of running from the aftermath of the Time War. If the home planet of the mighty Time Lord race is brought back, without a Moffat plot twist getting in the way, then series 8 may bring with it more Time Lords, TARDISes and enemies and allies from classic Doctor Who adventures. And frankly, that sounds incredible.
