Doctor Who: 10 Amazing TV Show Crossovers Fans Want To See

9. Humans

Davos Seaworth
Channel 4, AMC

The new Channel 4 series - which looks to delve deeper into the potential of Artificial Intelligence and it’s use in the day to day lives of regular folk - looks set to be a hit if recent viewing figures are to be believed. The first episode touched on both those Synthetics – as they’re known in the show – that are seemingly controlled, and those who have managed to outgrow their intended purpose.

This would be of the utmost interest to The Doctor. He's faced Cyborgs, he's faced Cybermen, he's faced Daleks but a group fully automated, fully conscious, Artificially Intelligent beings living with flesh and blood Humans? Well of course he would want to take a look at that now wouldn't he. The possibilities are endless - Would The Doctor want to find out how they became so independently intelligent? Would he want to find out what happened to these few who surpassed the purpose for which they were created?

Hot on the tail of some of the escaped, overly advanced Sythetics, The Doctor meets a group who have started a community, as far away from Humans as possible, trying to live independently without the input of those they were created to serve. These Synthetics are forced to defend themselves from - for the want of a better word - poachers, who look to take advantage of the financial benefits of these advanced Synthetics. Which side would The Doctor fall on? Would he support the Synths? Would he see the danger in those Artificial beings who have very little way of being controlled. The Sonic Screwdriver would play a huge part, and, of course, The TARDIS - perhaps to find This community a place on Earth to live, alone and undisturbed.
