Some facts to fill your pudding brain.

If you read our previous article '10 Things You Never Knew About Peter Capaldi' you might already know that the Scottish actor is much more than just the Twelfth Doctor (as huge a thing as that is). In fact, over the years, Peter Capaldi (middle name, Dougan) has also been a rebellious punk rocker, a promising graphic designer at the Glasgow School of Art and even an Oscar winning filmmaker. He won the coveted gong in 1995 for his short film Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life, which also starred the Great Intelligence himself, Richard E Grant. Yet even that is far from all there is to know about our current favourite Time Lord. For instance, did you know that he almost quit acting before landing his (previously) most famous role in The Thick of It? As it is his birthday, now is as good as time as any to uncover even more facts about the man that you (probably) didn't know about. Want to discover which celebrity Capaldi was in his punk band with? And which of his previous roles eerily predicted his casting as the Doctor? Or how about which other incarnation of the Time Lord he could have played? Then don't be a pudding brain, read on to find out! Happy birthday, Peter Capaldi!
