Doctor Who: 10 Things Clara's Dreams Taught Us In Last Christmas

What's in a dream?

Every episode of Doctor Who finds itself as the subject of intense discussion and speculative scrutiny but the premise of Last Christmas makes it an particularly interesting escapade to analyse. As you'll have gathered by now, unless you yourself were sleeping, the majority of this year's Christmas Special took place within the sequences of a dream, and subsequently dreams within dreams, which means that most of its events were being controlled or indirectly influenced by the minds of the characters, or their subconsciousness at least. This comes as a bonus Christmas present for those of you who like to dig a little deeper because it means there's plenty of underlying themes and hidden gems to uncover in regards to what the dream world suggested about the motives and inner most feelings of our heroes and their allies. This list will focus on Clara Oswald and what her respective dreams could have been trying to tell us - she's never been an easy one to read but Last Christmas has definitely given us an intriguing insight into what's really going on within the mind of our impossible girl. It's all just speculation, of course, and the wonderful thing about the episode in question is that it left pretty much everything open to everyone's own interpretation. With that in mind, this is ours and, as you'll no doubt agree, some of it is work talking about.
