Doctor Who: 11 Companions We'd Want To Be Friends With

10. Barbara Wright, 1st Doctor Companion

Barbarachasecloseup 1 One of the first companions in Doctor Who, Barbara was a history teacher at Coal Hill School in London in 1963 with science teacher Ian Chesterton (also a companion to the 1st Doctor). She's beautiful, smart, and extremely kindhearted. You could see it in the episode The Aztecs, where due to mistaken identity, she decides to change the course of history. She shows so much care in this episode and genuinely looked like she'd stay there if the era wasn't so crazy and if they would of believed her fake identify of being the goddess Yetaxa. She just seems like someone who'd be cool to hang out with.
