Christopher Eccleston took the job of the 9th incarnation of the Doctor back in 2005 with Russell T. Davies as the show runner. He stayed on for one season and delivered many memorable lines, episodes and moments that will live on in the Who world forever. The introduction to what would be a fantastically emotional relationship with Rose Tyler was amazing to see, because of the great chemistry between Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper. Now lets look back at the 5 moments (yes, not 9 just because) that really made the 9th Doctor...

Ninthrunrose 1 This was the moment that would eventually start a fantastic, yet a bit tragic, story between The Doctor and Rose Tyler. He shows up and grabs her hand and they run away from the living plastic creatures. The line "...I'm the Doctor, by the way. What's your name?" made many of us become instant Whovians. How cool would it have been to suddenly see living plastic creatures and get rescued by a lovely alien man, with a fantastic leather jacket, like him who carries around a sonic screw driver and seems to know how to save the world from these things?
