Doctor Who: 7 Times The Doctors Dressed Up In Drag

Who says the Doctor's never been a woman?

Think you've seen it all? Think again. It's a long standing complaint within the Whoniverse that TV's favourite Time Lord has never taken on the guise of a female incarnation but those who believe that to be true clearly haven't done their research. There was Joanna Lumley in the Doctor Who and the Curse of the Fatal Death, for starters. She played the Thirteenth Doctor in the 1999 Comic Relief special but, of course, that's far from being canon. In reality, the role of the universe's chief defender has been occupied by 13 actors to date (that's only the on screen ones, of course - let's not get into the nitty gritty here, OK?!) and it's actually surprising how many of those have taken a turn as the opposite sex. Whether it's been in Doctor Who (yes, the Doctor has gone to some extraordinary lengths to fit into his surroundings in the past!) or as part of another role or performance, Doctor Who actors are usually the first to switch their TARDIS for a tiara. Or a mini-skirt, as is usually the case with David Tennant. Seriously. Just you waited... So, presented here for your viewing pleasure (and with absolutely no added intention to cause you any harm or trauma), here are 7 times the Doctors dressed up as a woman. Because why the hell not? Man, he feels like a woman...
